Project B.A.S.I.C.

Dear Parents,

I would like to take a moment to introduce myself and Project B.A.S.I.C. My name is Mrs. Shelley Britt, and I am so excited that project B.A.S.I.C will be at Pulaski Elementary again this year! Project B.A.S.I.C. is a school-based service provided at no cost to your school or family. It helps children improve self-esteem, develop problem-solving skills, and deal with  feelings. I present classroom lessons to all students in grades Kindergarten-2nd grade. The typical format for these lessons is story time followed by an activity, however, lessons may vary depending on the topic. I have listed the goals for each grade at the bottom of this letter.

Project B.A.S.I.C is also available to provide services to individual children (all grades) if needed to address school issues or issues that occur outside of school, including but not limited to: divorce, grief, social concerns, family changes, or other emotional issues. I am here to be a resource and support for you, your child, and this school’s staff. For a child to receive individual services a permission slip must be completed, signed, and returned by the child’s legal guardian. If you are interested in your child receiving this service or have any questions, please contact me. I am available during school hours 7-2:30. You can find my classroom at Pulaski Elementary School, Room 13 on 2nd grade hallway.

I look forward to serving you,
Mrs. Shelley Britt
